About Lori Rubeling Rubeling & Kain Studios is located in Emmitsburg, Maryland. For the past four years Lori has been applying her art and architecture interests designing and manufacturing sculptural toys, creating site-specific sculpture and developing her architecture concepts. Lori Rubeling teaches Visual Communication Design at Villa Julie College, Stevenson, MD. She graduated from the Corcoran School of Art in 1983 and in 1984-85 studied Architecture with Daniel Libeskind, at Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, MI. The 1984-85 Cranbrook Architecture Studio was awarded the Stone Lion prize for their Palmanova Project entry in the 1985 Venice Biennale. Since 1986, Lori has exhibited in Baltimore, Washington and Detroit. Winning a 1993 Art-On-The-Move sculptural commission from the City of Detroit. |
